積極復育本土茶樹林
近年來,台灣的茶籽經濟效益不彰,因此遭到大量砍伐。金椿創辦人陳福康認為:「台灣的茶油需求量大,要是可以種植茶樹自給自足,就不用倚賴進口了。」於是金椿除了自家開園種植外,同時四處收購台灣當地的茶籽,並帶動苗栗當地農民投入轉種茶樹。即使因本土產量不夠,需要從中國大陸進口茶籽,金椿也做了妥善完備的把關。陳福康父子親自到產地控管茶籽的品質,並在當地設立檢驗中心,即時做檢驗。茶籽進到台灣後,再做二次檢驗,這是金椿重要的堅持,也是苦茶油保持品質最重要的關鍵。

Often referred to as the "Olive Oil of the East," Camellia oil is a cherished local flavor of Taiwan. Chin-Chun uses a low-temperature pressing method to preserve the nutrients of the large camellia seeds. The resulting oil is golden and clear, offering a refreshing and mellow taste with a rich, fruity aroma. With a high smoke point of 220°C, it is heat-stable and produces minimal fumes, making it ideal for frying, stir-frying, and deep-frying.
Strict Quality Control: Only the Freshest First-Press Oil
The quality of Camellia oil begins with the seeds. These precious camellia seeds endure the elements—spring thunder, summer rain, autumn winds, and winter frost—and must pass rigorous pesticide residue testing. Before being pressed, the ripened seeds undergo a meticulous process: sun-drying, cold storage, low-temperature roasting, and light stir-frying. This "spa treatment" ensures the release of diverse nutrients, yielding drops of brilliant golden oil. Chin-Chun uses only the first cold press to retain the seeds' essence and ensure maximum freshness.
Actively Restoring Local Tea Forests
In recent years, many tea trees in Taiwan were cut down due to low economic returns. Chin-Chun founder, Chen Fu-kang, believes that "Taiwan has a high demand for tea oil; if we can achieve self-sufficiency through local planting, we won't have to rely on imports."
To address this, Chin-Chun manages its own plantations and purchases seeds from local farmers, encouraging those in Miaoli to transition back to tea tree cultivation. When local yields are insufficient and imports from Mainland China are necessary, the brand maintains strict oversight. The Chen family personally visits production sites to monitor quality and has established onsite testing centers. Once the seeds arrive in Taiwan, they undergo a second round of testing—a vital commitment to maintaining the premium quality of their oil.
