為人著想的古早心
明德食品的第三代經營者劉宇邦，以做給家人吃的用心來做脆花瓜。無農藥化肥栽種的小黃瓜食材，來自雲林麻園農場。小黃瓜清洗、切塊後，先以鹽醃出水，再加入醬汁調味入味、裝罐殺菌。劉宇邦為了避免傳統脆瓜膩口的重鹹，他除了加入微量的糖，還使用了天然食材梅汁和薑粉來提味、並以香菇精粉提鮮。劉宇邦表示：「會做傳統的產品，不見得就會做里仁的產品。但以為人著想的古早心，就一定能了解里仁的堅持。」

A Perfect Companion for Rice and Cooking – Safe and Delicious Crunchy Cucumber
Cucumbers are a year-long harvested crop, raising concerns about pesticide residues. Therefore, it's best to choose cucumbers grown without pesticides and fertilizers. Crunchy cucumber is a traditional pickled cucumber dish, known for its crunchy and sweet taste. It's an essential side dish in traditional Chinese breakfasts, suitable for both rice and cooking. To ensure consumers can enjoy safe and reliable crunchy cucumber, Leezen has partnered with Ming-Te Foods in Kaohsiung, to launch a new product free of chemical additives.
A Thoughtful Heart: Liu Yu-pang, the third-generation owner of Ming-Te Foods, makes crunchy cucumber with the same care that he would give to his family. The pesticide- and fertilizer-free cucumbers come from Mayuan Farm in Yunlin. After washing and cutting the cucumbers into chunks, they are first salted to drain out water, then seasoned with sauce, and finally canned and sterilized. To avoid the overly salty taste of traditional crunchy cucumbers, Liu Yu-pang adds a small amount of sugar, along with natural plum juice and ginger powder for flavor, and shiitake mushroom extract for umami.
